The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

jarden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tanigin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in jarden's half guard.

jarden wants to stand but Tanigin is controlling the position.

Tanigin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. jarden swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tanigin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Tanigin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in jarden's guard.

jarden bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

jarden cracks Tanigin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
jarden takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Tanigin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
