Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bowness shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Bowness has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of John's face.

Bowness is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but John is surviving well by controlling Bowness's body position as best he can.

Bowness has control of John's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and John regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Bowness's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
John is bucking up trying to escape but Bowness cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John throws a body punch but Bowness moves out of range.
Bowness shoots in for a double leg but John sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Parker John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

John tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bowness paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bowness shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Thomas Bowness overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bowness slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
