Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malandro Agulha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Stevens has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adam Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Malandro Agulha!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Agulha fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Agulha looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Stevens closes the distance and clinches.
Stevens is trying to break free.

Stevens manages to break the clinch.

Stevens has closed the distance and engaged Agulha in a clinch.

Agulha is fighting off a takedown attempt but Stevens is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Agulha to the mat. Agulha regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Stevens is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Agulha working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Stevens has passed into half guard!
Stevens drops an elbow to the side of Agulha's head.
Stevens not doing much here.

Stevens is working for a kimura but Agulha is defending it quite comfortably.
Stevens performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Stevens throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stevens is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stevens working the head and body with strikes.
Agulha wants to get back to his feet.
Ground and pound from Stevens.
Stevens sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Stevens looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stevens looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Stevens postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Agulha to stand up.
Stevens throws a series of punches but Agulha moves out of range.

Stevens looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Agulha!
Stevens putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stevens cracks Agulha with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Stevens controlling his opponent.
Agulha is desperately trying to improve his position but Stevens has a good base and remains in mount.
Stevens putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Stevens stands up from mount. Strange move.
Stevens misses with an attempted mid kick.

Stevens shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Agulha is trying to defend but Stevens finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Stevens dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Stevens tries for a takedown but Agulha sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stevens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Agulha is fending him off so far but Stevens persists. Nope, Agulha circles away and we're back to standing.
Stevens throws a shot to the body.

Stevens fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Agulha, pushing him back against the cage.

Agulha is fighting off a takedown attempt but Stevens is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Agulha to the mat. Agulha regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Stevens slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Stevens stands and steps away. Agulha gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Stevens.
Agulha tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stevens wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Agulha taking punishment in the form of punches.
Adam Stevens overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stevens is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Agulha's shoulder. That is not cool.
Stevens in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Stevens tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Stevens just content to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Stevens looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Agulha is looking for a sweep.
Stevens is working Agulha over with some ground and pound from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stevens in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Stevens decides to stand up, so the ref orders Agulha to his feet.
Agulha takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Stevens scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Agulha is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Agulha trying to hold on to Stevens's head to control him but Stevens postures up.
Stevens with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Agulha wants to improve his position but Stevens is controlling well.

Stevens has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Agulha defend it? Stevens steps over the head and cranks it - Agulha is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Stevens!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Adam Stevens!
