The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wade on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Rodellega is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rodellega is looking to clinch.

Wade shoots in and bounces Rodellega off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Wade wants to control from the top but Rodellega keeps moving.
Wade is stalling in the full guard.

Wade is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Wade stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rodellega swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rodellega wants to stand up but Wade is controlling him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Wade closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rodellega circles away.
Wade keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rodellega tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rodellega waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Wade.
Rodellega lands a lovely overhand right.

Rodellega rushes Wade and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rodellega lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Rodellega tries to circle away but Wade has him pinned against the cage.
Wade jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rodellega walks away with a smile on his face. Wade gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Rodellega missing with a left hand there. Wade was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Wade drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wade passes into half guard.
Wade slows the pace down in half guard.
Wade wants to pass the guard but Rodellega is defending well.
Wade is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Wade trying to control but Rodellega is having none of it.
Wade takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wade is trying to take his opponent's back.

Wade is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Wade extends the arm and Rodellega is forced to tap!
