Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between g volk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Shake 'Em On Down" by RL Burnside kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
volk looks for a takedown but Evans sprawls well.
volk misses with a series of wild punches.
Evans looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Left hook, right uppercut from volk.
Evans is rocked!
volk showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Evans.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Evans.
volk being controlled for a moment.
volk wants to get back to his feet but Evans drags him back down.
Evans advances to full mount.

volk is working to get back to half guard.
Evans with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Evans looks gassed!
Evans throws some wild stikes that volk manages to avoid easily.
volk is looking to improve his position but Evans isn't that keen on the idea.
Evans thowing shots but they're missing.
volk avoids a series of strikes thrown by Evans.
Evans tries to control but volk wriggling away.
Evans controlling from the full mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
volk is desperately trying to improve his position but Evans has a good base and remains in mount.
Evans has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Evans looking to control but volk is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
volk tries to lock up and control but Evans gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Evans prevents volk from getting the reversal.
Evans jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but volk manages to avoid the submission attempt.
volk is pushing Evans's head away, looking to escape. Evans manages to hold on to the position though.

Evans controlling the position from side mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
volk is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Evans asserts his dominance and retains side control.
volk is looking to regain half guard here but Evans keeps moving and retains side control.
volk seems a little lost for a moment, as Evans dominates the positioning.
volk sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Evans seems to be working for a kimura but volk defends the submission attempt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Evans wants to control but volk is keeping him busy.
Evans is trying to work for a kimura but volk is defending well.
Evans in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. volk tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Evans!
