Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to In The Morning. The crowd seem to be enjoying Jackson's choice of entrance music: We Be Steady Mobbin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws out a powerful jab.
A left and a right from Jackson both land. Nice combination.
Jackson has closed the distance and engaged Smith in a clinch.
Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Smith gets caught flat footed, as Jackson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Smith has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jackson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
