Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adaru Kitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitano's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Arch Enemy - We Will Rise . Watanabe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Insomnia by Tiësto. Kai Watanabe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kitano changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Watanabe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Watanabe takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Watanabe sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Kitano is thwarting Watanabe's attempts to control the position.
Kitano is stalling here. Watanabe is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kitano seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Watanabe has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Watanabe decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kitano to his feet.
Watanabe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Good leg kick by Kitano there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A punch lands to the side of Watanabe 's head but he takes it in his stride.

and Watanabe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Watanabe looks to land a combination but Kitano avoids it well.
Watanabe fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Kitano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Watanabe circles away quickly and effectively.
Kitano shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Watanabe sprawls well. Watanabe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kitano gets slowly back to his feet.

Adaru Kitano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kitano bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kitano is trying hard to land a takedown here. Watanabe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Watanabe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Oh but Watanabe is tightening it up a little... Kitano has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kitano reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kitano taps out! nice BJJ there by Watanabe!
