Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Crawford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slaughter comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - Hurt. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Slaughter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Crawford!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crawford shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Slaughter is trying to defend but Crawford finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Crawford trying to control from Slaughter's half guard. Slaughter has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Crawford tries to free his leg and advance position but Slaughter is retaining full guard.
Slaughter wants to sweep here but Crawford controlling him for the moment.
Crawford stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slaughter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Slaughter is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Slaughter using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Crawford has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Crawford tries to break the clinch but Slaughter is controlling the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Crawford can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Slaughter controls the pace.
Slaughter looking to sit in guard and control but Crawford gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Slaughter is looking for a sweep. Crawford is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Slaughter moves into full guard.
Crawford seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Crawford throws and elbow that misses. Slaughter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crawford's guard. Nice move by Slaughter!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Slaughter throws a big right hand that misses.
Crawford is looking to stand up but Slaughter isn't so interested in that idea.
Slaughter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Slaughter with a flurry of punches that miss.
Crawford really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slaughter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Slaughter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Crawford tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Slaughter smiles and moves away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Crawford fails with the takedown.

Slaughter tries to clinch up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Slaughter will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Slaughter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Slaughter manages to end up in side control.

Slaughter lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Crawford down.

Slaughter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Slaughter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Crawford is looking to regain half guard here but Slaughter keeps moving and retains side control.

Slaughter in side control lands a decent elbow.
A lull in the action here as Slaughter stalls from top position.
Crawford tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Joe Slaughter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Slaughter scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Crawford to see if he's OK.
Crawford takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Crawford is trying to control Slaughter's posture but Slaughter avoids it.

Slaughter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Crawford is staying active underneath Slaughter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Slaughter in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Crawford tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Slaughter!
