Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Malmsteen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malmsteen comes to the cage accompanied by Yngwie Malmsteen - Rise up. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malmsteen takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Malmsteen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Malmsteen counters with a series of strikes. Jones will be more careful next time no doubt.
James Malmsteen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Malmsteen sprawls well. Malmsteen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Malmsteen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Malmsteen throws a left and a right that both miss

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Malmsteen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.

Jones is working an open guard so Malmsteen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Malmsteen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Malmsteen throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.
Malmsteen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Malmsteen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Malmsteen scores with a one two! Jones had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Malmsteen lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Malmsteen misses with a series of wild punches.
Malmsteen rushes Jones with punches - Jones moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Jones goes down! Malmsteen follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
