PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Render (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Swift (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Render!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Swift!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Render misses with a few strikes there.
Render misses with a two punch combination.

Swift swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Swift holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Swift is trying to drag Render to the mat but Render just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A frustrated look appears on Render's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Swift breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Render misses with a double jab
and Swift counters with a head kick. That will keep Render thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Render swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Swift counters by moving into the clinch.
Swift pushes Render back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Render is trying to break free.

Swift jumps into guard, dragging Render to the mat.

Render got a little sloppy there for a moment and Swift has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Render has managed to get both his arms back between Swift's legs - danger averted.
Render wants to stand but Swift is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Swift is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Render rolls with it to try and escape but Swift cranks on the arm and Render is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
