Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roy Bent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Blair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eric Blair will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roy Bent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Blair!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blair tries to clinch but Bent moves out of range.
Blair shoots in for a takedown but Bent shows good takedown defense.
Blair shoots for a takedown but Bent saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Blair avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Blair misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blair fails with an attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Blair.
Roy Bent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Blair.

Blair darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bent avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Blair.
Bent is staying active underneath Blair, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bent keeping control of the position.

Blair is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bent doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Blair.

Bent is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Blair has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Blair!
Bent is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Blair misses with a takedown

and Bent counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blair won't be happy with that.
Blair is pushing Bent's head away, looking to escape. Bent manages to hold on to the position though.

Bent is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blair knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bent decides to stand back up. Bent steps back and let's Blair get back to his feet.
Blair tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bent drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Blair wants to get back to his feet but Bent is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bent has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Blair is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bent stands up from Blair's guard - Bent perhaps looking for a knockout.
Blair looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Bent drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bent stops Blair from standing up.
Bent thows a big elbow that misses.

Bent drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bent jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Blair looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bent is one step ahead there.
Bent wants to control from the top but Blair keeps moving.
Roy Bent overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bent throws and elbow that misses. Blair uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bent's guard. Nice move by Blair!
Blair tries to free his leg and advance position but Bent is retaining full guard.
Bent pulls Blair in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bent misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blair doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bent counters with a single leg into guard. Blair didn't expect that.

Blair is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bent stands and throws Blair's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Blair wants to control but Bent postures up.
Blair is trying to get back to half guard.

Bent is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blair knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bent fails to land a wild elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Blair closes the distance and clinches.
Blair jumps guard but Bent stands there with Blair around his waist. Blair gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Blair lands an elbow inside that Bent shrugs off.
Blair prevents a takedown attempt there.
Blair taking a breather.
Blair lands a nice elbow.

Blair gets control of Bent's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blair will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bent wants to control from the top but Blair keeps moving.

Bent postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Blair is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bent, into his guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Blair wants to stand but Bent is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blair stands and throws Bent's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Blair thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bent manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bent throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bent keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Bent has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Blair defend it? Bent steps over the head and cranks it - Blair is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bent!
