The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Neil avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
O Neil throws a head kick but Florion moves out of range.
O Neil explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Florion tries to clinch there but O Neil circles away.
O Neil throws a sloppy head kick and Florion moves out of range easily.
O Neil throws a series of punches but Florion moves out of range.
Patrick O Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

O Neil shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Florion's guard.
O Neil throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Florion works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
O Neil missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Florion is trying to keep O Neil in close.

O Neil has gone for a leg lock! Florion slips out almost immediately though and dives into O Neil's guard.
Florion is looking to advance position but O Neil has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Florion makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Florion.
Florion is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
O Neil tries to get to full guard but Florion has control of the leg.
Florion prevents O Neil from standing back up.

Florion is looking to take a break and control but O Neil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
O Neil is controlling Florion's position as best he can from this difficult position.
O Neil is staying active underneath Florion, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

O Neil tries to roll over but Florion keeps him under control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
O Neil tries to kick Florion off but Florion keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
O Neil wants to control but Florion is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
O Neil throws a push kick but Florion slaps the foot to one side.
O Neil fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Florion gets cracked with a nice right hand there by O Neil.
Florion avoids the body shot from O Neil.

and O Neil counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
O Neil throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
O Neil not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
O Neil thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
O Neil looks to land a strike but Florion avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
O Neil sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Florion's guard.
O Neil is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Florion keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Florion is in a horrible position here. O Neil smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Kenny Florion has been cut.
O Neil misses with a head shot.
Florion holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as O Neil tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Florion wants to hold on but O Neil pushes him away.

O Neil is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Florion has managed to escape the submission attempt.

O Neil looking to secure an arm triangle but Florion defends it well.

Florion can't escape the position.
O Neil can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Florion is looking to escape.
O Neil lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Florion wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by O Neil.

O Neil moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Florion has worked his arm free - good work by Florion!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Florion tries to bench press O Neil off him but O Neil keeps the position.

O Neil wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Florion, who protects the arm well.
Florion pushes O Neil away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, O Neil gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

O Neil tries for a kimura but Florion is defending well.
Florion can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
O Neil throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Florion is looking to reverse the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Florion closes the distance looking to clinch
and O Neil counters with a straight right hand.
O Neil misses with a body kick.
A head kick misses from O Neil.
Florion tries to clinch up
and O Neil counters with a head kick. That will keep Florion thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Patrick O Neil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Florion tries to clinch but O Neil moves away
enabling O Neil to counter with a crisp jab.
Florion with a poor takedown

and O Neil counters with a crisp right hand that drops Florion! O Neil lets Florion back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Florion is rocked!
Florion closes the distance but O Neil moves to the side
and O Neil counters with a nice body shot.
Oh Florion is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
O Neil seems to be stalking Florion here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Florion drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
