Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Evan Plaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryte Hook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hook has chosen Sweet Dreams as his entrance music. Ryte Hook is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Plaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryte Hook!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hook closes the distance and pushes Plaster back into the cage.
Plaster looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Hook breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hook throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Plaster.
Hook tries to clinch but Plaster moves out of range.
Plaster leaves Hook with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hook scores with a nice right hand.
Hook looks to land a combination. Plaster sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hook tries to bum rush Plaster with a series of wild strikes but Plaster uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hook stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hook wants it to stay on the feet.
Hook lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Evan Plaster has been cut.

Hook closes the distance and clinches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hook lands a left hand that snaps the head of Plaster backwards.
Hook scores a nice knee to the body.
Hook is looking to break free of the clinch but Plaster has double underhooks.
Come on Hook - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Hook pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Danga de danga de dang - Hook scores with a four punch combination!
Hook lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hook.
Horrible takedown by Hook or perhaps it was just good defense by Plaster which made him look bad.

Hook clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hook has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Plaster is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Evan Plaster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryte Hook.

Hook breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hook changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Plaster looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hook decides to stand up, so the ref orders Plaster to his feet.

Hook scores a takedown into full mount!
Hook throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Plaster because Hook loaded up on that one.
Plaster is trying desperately to improve position.
Hook thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Hook avoids the attempt from Plaster to control.
Plaster could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Plaster can't escape the position.

Hook lands a heavy elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Plaster blocking the ground and pound.
Plaster is trying desperately to improve position.
Plaster wants to control but Hook is having none of it.
Plaster is looking to get to half guard.
Plaster bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Plaster is looking to advance position but Hook has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Plaster can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Plaster slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Hook throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hook thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Plaster's head.
Plaster keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryte Hook dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Evan Plaster's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Hook gets a takedown into half guard.
Hook seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Plaster does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hook stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Hook lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Plaster backs up against the cage.

Hook gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hook decides to pull guard.
Hook looking for a sweep. Not yet Hook, not yet.
Plaster not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Plaster trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Hook seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Plaster keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ryte Hook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hook scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Hook is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Plaster's half guard.

Hook prevents Plaster from standing back up.
Plaster trying to hold on to Hook's head to control him but Hook postures up.
Plaster wants to improve his position but Hook is controlling well.

Hook stands up and beckons Plaster to join him on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Plaster fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Nice straight punches there by Plaster. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Plaster.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Plaster is defended easily by Hook.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

I would just about give that final round to Ryte Hook.
Well Hook has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
