Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Razin Momin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Perl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perl closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Perl lands in his opponent's guard.
Perl trying to control the position from guard on top but Momin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Perl has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Momin is proving hard to escape from.
Momin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Momin keeping moving, preventing Perl from controlling successfully.
Momin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perl trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Momin manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Perl is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Momin is controlling him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Perl fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Perl misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Momin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Momin slips a jab and a cross from Perl.
Danga de danga de dang - Perl scores with a four punch combination!
Perl fails to land with a series of punches.
Perl connects with a jab.
Perl misses with a few strikes there.
Momin dodges the punch combination from Perl.

Momin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Momin is looking to take a break and control but Perl is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
An elbow from Momin crashes against the mat.

Momin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Momin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Perl wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Momin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Perl keeps working.

Momin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Perl, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perl wants to get back to his feet but Momin drags him back down.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Momin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Momin is breathing heavily.
Momin prevents Perl from escaping the position.

Momin is working to tighten is grip on Perl's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Perl has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Momin is really squeezing tight and eventually Perl passes out! Momin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
