Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krk Mrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mrd shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ortiz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ortiz.
Mrd wants to control from the top but Ortiz keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ortiz throws a couple of heel strikes.
Mrd thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mrd wants to pass the guard but Ortiz is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Mrd counters with a takedown into side control.
Ortiz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mrd asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mrd avoids the strikes from the bottom by Ortiz.

Mrd is trying to get an arm triangle but Ortiz is defending well.
Ortiz defending against the ground and pound.
Ortiz wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Mrd thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mrd wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ortiz, who protects the arm well.
The ground and pound from Mrd seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Ortiz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mrd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ortiz misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Mrd throws a strike aimed at the side of Ortiz's head but Ortiz avoids it well.
Ortiz can't do much from the bottom here.
Ortiz tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ortiz can do anything to dispel that myth.
