The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marchetti misses with a few strikes there.
Jenkin throws a leg kick which misses Marchetti's front leg but catches the back leg as Marchetti tries to avoid it.
Marchetti takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jenkin.

Jenkin throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Carter Marchetti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marchetti takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Jenkin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Marchetti's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Jenkin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Marchetti moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jenkin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Marchetti.

Marchetti lands a glancing blow to the side of Jenkin's head.

Jenkin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
