Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turkey Thompkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carl Bell has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Bell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Turkey Thompkin! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thompkin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bell somewhat. Thompkin shoots in but no luck this time. Bell forces Thompkin back against the cage and clinches. Bell jumps guard but Thompkin stands there with Bell around his waist. Bell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Thompkin has Bell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bell jumps guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Bell wants to stand but Thompkin is controlling the position. Bell could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Thompkin looking to pass the guard. Thompkin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Thompkin trying to control the position from guard on top but Bell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thompkin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bell is trying to keep Thompkin in close.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bell throws a sloppy head kick and Thompkin moves out of range easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Thompkin is working Bell over against the cage. Bell gets a trip takedown into half guard. Bell is trying to work for a kimura but Thompkin is defending well.
Thompkin tries to get to full guard but Bell has control of the leg. Thompkin is defending against the submission attempts here by Bell.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Thompkin is controlling Bell's trapped leg to prevent Bell from advancing to side control. Thompkin is trying to get back to full guard. Thompkin trying to hold on to Bell's head to control him but Bell postures up.
Bell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thompkin keeps working. Thompkin flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thompkin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bell is working for a submission of some sort.
Bell is breathing heavily. Thompkin is trying to control but can't.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Thompkin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Thompkin wants to stand up but Bell is controlling him. Thompkin keeping full guard, as Bell tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bell advances to half guard. Thompkin trying to control but Bell postures up.
Bell wants to free his trapped foot but Thompkin is holding on for dear life with his legs. Thompkin trying to control here.
Thompkin wants to get back to full guard. Bell wants to control but Thompkin is keeping him busy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thompkin tries to avoid it but Bell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thompkin to the ground. Thompkin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carl Bell dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thompkin defends it nicely. Thompkin darts in and clinches Bell up against the cage. Thompkin avoiding damage as Bell throws knees to the body.
Thompkin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Thompkin stuffs the takedown attempt from Bell. Bell gets slowly back to his feet. Thompkin clinches. Thompkin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bell is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thompkin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Bell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Thompkin or perhaps it was just good defense by Bell which made him look bad. Bell tries to clinch but fails miserably and Thompkin counters by clinching up. Bell goes for a takedown attempt but Thompkin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Thompkin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bell's waist but Bell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thompkin off to one side. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bell. Bell takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Thompkin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bell avoids it really well and circles away. Thompkin misses with a two punch combination.
Bell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Thompkin wants to control but Bell postures up. Thompkin is not content to let Bell control the position. Bell working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Thompkin is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Thompkin dodges the ground and pound from Bell. Thompkin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bell asserts his dominance and retains side control. Thompkin struggling a bit here. Thompkin is trying to buck Bell off.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Thompkin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bell counters with a single leg into guard. Thompkin didn't expect that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bell trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bell in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Thompkin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Thompkin is keeping the position for now. Thompkin looking for a guillotine here but Bell defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Thompkin thumps Bell with a low kick. Thompkin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bell decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thompkin's guard. Bell looking to pass the guard. Thompkin keeping moving, preventing Bell from controlling successfully. Thompkin is looking for a triangle but Bell pushes his legs off easily.
Bell forces his way into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carl Bell dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Thompkin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Thompkin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bell. Bell slaps away a takedown attempt from Thompkin, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Thompkin has escaped the position, nice work there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bell working away. Thompkin regains half guard. Bell prevents Thompkin from improving his position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thompkin wants to control but Bell is keeping busy.
Bell works his way into full mount! Thompkin tries to hold on but Bell pushes him away. Bell misses with a head shot. Bell with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Thompkin is looking to improve his position but Bell isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bell throws some wild stikes that Thompkin manages to avoid easily.
Bell looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Bell is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Thompkin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Thompkin wants to control but Bell is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Thompkin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Thompkin! Thompkin trying to control the position from guard on top but Bell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carl Bell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Thompkin wants to stand but Bell has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bell keeping moving, preventing Thompkin from controlling successfully. Thompkin wanted to stand there but Bell had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bell looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Thompkin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Thompkin trying to control but Bell is working from the bottom. Bell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Thompkin manages to get himself to full guard.
Bell wants to control from the top but Thompkin keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Turkey Thompkin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Thompkin is looking for a triangle but Bell pushes his legs off easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Carl Bell showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
