Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Laggum Vane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sterling Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vane comes to the cage accompanied by No Rest for the Wicked. Contreras has chosen "Move" as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Laggum Vane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sterling Contreras!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vane lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Contreras looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Contreras fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vane dives in and grabs Contreras's left leg, looking for a takedown. Contreras pushes down on Vane's head and hops out.
Vane cracks Contreras with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Vane looks to land a combination. Contreras sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Contreras tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vane paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Vane takes the fight into the clinch.
Vane with a knee to the head.
Vane is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Vane manages to pull guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vane is on top in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Contreras can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vane thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Vane drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Vane seems to have locked his on tight now - Contreras screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Vane, as he picks up the win!
