Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niko Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Tsushima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berg's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "Psycho Killer" by the Talking Heads. Tsushima is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eminem - Till I Collapse. Niko Berg has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Niko Berg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lewis Tsushima!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Berg gets the takedown into side control.
Berg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tsushima keeps working.
Tsushima manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berg tries to get to full guard but Tsushima has control of the leg.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tsushima moves in looking to clinch but Berg pushes him off.

Tsushima swings wildly with an uppercut but Berg uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tsushima keeps control of Berg as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Berg wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tsushima just misses with a elbow thrown towards Berg's brow.

Tsushima pushes Berg back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Berg tries to score a body lock takedown but Tsushima shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Tsushima manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Lewis Tsushima.

Tsushima fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Berg avoids it really well and circles away.

Tsushima shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Berg manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Berg wants to sweep here but Tsushima controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tsushima is looking for a kimura but Berg is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tsushima to get the leverage.
Well, if Tsushima is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tsushima shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Berg as he avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lewis Tsushima dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Berg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tsushima defends it nicely.

Tsushima breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tsushima ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Berg shoots in but Tsushima avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Tsushima feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tsushima uses his free foot to push down on Berg's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Berg.

Lewis Tsushima showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Tsushima takes a swing at Berg's ribcage but misses.

Berg takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Tsushima is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Berg is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Tsushima can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Berg is looking to escape.

Tsushima working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Berg turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Tsushima off and cradles Berg's limp body as Tsushima celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Lewis Tsushima!
