The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins misses with a takedown attempt - Herenton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jenkins drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Herenton dives on top into guard.

Jenkins is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Herenton pulls his head out easily.
Herenton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jenkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jenkins is looking for a sweep. Herenton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Herenton wants to take a breather but Jenkins is having none of it.
Jenkins is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Jenkins is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Herenton wants to control the pace but Jenkins is squirming around nicely.
Herenton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Herenton stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

and Herenton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jenkins's guard now.

Herenton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jenkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Herenton has managed to get both his arms back between Jenkins's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Herenton lands a couple of digs.
Herenton tries to free his leg and advance position but Jenkins is retaining full guard.

Herenton is posturing up here but Jenkins has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Herenton tries to roll out but it's too tight and Herenton has to tap! Slick submission there by Jenkins!
