Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and steve rifformato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex shoots in looking for a takedown. rifformato tries to sprawl out of it but Rex keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. rifformato manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

rifformato stands and throws Rex's legs to the side, diving into side control.

rifformato got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rex has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, rifformato has managed to get both his arms back between Rex's legs - danger averted.

rifformato is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
