The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barreto drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barreto gets to his feet. Padilla looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Padilla tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Padilla lands a lovely overhand right.

Padilla lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Padilla works over Barreto's head and body with a nice combination.
Padilla drops Barreto with a naaaaasty hook - Barreto is in real trouble here! Padilla dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
