The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calhoun pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Calhoun will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Calhoun tries to bum rush Elam with a series of wild strikes but Elam uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Calhoun misses with a jab, cross combination.
Calhoun throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Calhoun fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Calhoun scores with a three punch combo!
Nice uppercut lands for Calhoun. That snapped Elam's head back.
It looks like Keith Elam has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Calhoun throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Calhoun lands with a big right hook that stumbles Elam - he's out on his feet here! Calhoun follows up with another monster hook that separates Elam from consciousness! Elam falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Calhoun stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
