Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between El Pinjata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Pan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Pinjata has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, El Pinjata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Pan!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pan closes the distance and clinches.
Pinjata drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Pinjata is pressing down on Pan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Pan is looking to stand up but Pinjata won't let him.

Pinjata is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pinjata is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Pan throws a head kick but Pinjata moves out of range.

Pinjata gets the takedown into side control.
Pinjata throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Pan wants to get back to his feet.
Pinjata tries to advance to mount but can't.
Check out the look on Pinjata's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Pan pushes Pinjata away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pinjata gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Pinjata could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pinjata tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pinjata throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Pan takes the fight into the clinch.

Pinjata has Pan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pinjata pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pan tumbling to the mat - Pinjata dives into Pan's guard.
Pinjata knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pan on the ground.

Pan kicks Pinjata off and gets to his feet.
Pinjata avoids the head kick by Pan.
Pinjata uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pan.
Pinjata shoots in for a takedown but Pan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for El Pinjata. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pan throws a right and a left that Pinjata avoids nicely.
Pinjata tries for a takedown but Pan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Pinjata shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pan's guard.

Pinjata looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pan is fending him off so far but Pinjata persists. Nope, Pan circles away and we're back to standing.

Pinjata uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pan.
Pinjata checks a leg kick nicely.
Pan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pinjata changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pan tries to avoid it but Pinjata manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pan to the ground. Pan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pan has taken the fight to the clinch.

Pinjata lands a takedown into guard.

Pan wriggles free and stands up.

Pan clinches up with Pinjata and pushes him back against the cage.

Pan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pinjata is trying to keep an underhook but Pan manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Pan get's back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pan pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Pan moves into the clinch.
Pan goes for a takedown attempt but Pinjata pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pinjata fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Pinjata with that takedown attempt.
A jab from Pan misses.
Pinjata fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pan misses with a head kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pinjata will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pinjata fails to land the takedown.

Pan closes the distance and pushes Pinjata back into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Pan dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Pinjata throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pan's waist but Pan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pinjata off to one side.
Pinjata shoots for a takedown but Pan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Pan pushes Pinjata up against the cage in a clinch.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Pan in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Pinjata is looking for a triangle here but Pan uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Pinjata on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pinjata tries to get out of the position.

Pan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pinjata, pushing him back against the cage.
Pan is trying to force a seperation but Pinjata has the dominant position.

Pan has hold of one of Pinjata's legs. Pinjata is fighting the takedown attempt but Pan gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Pan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Pinjata closes the distance and clinches up with Pan, looking for a takedown. Pinjata pushes Pan against the cage but Pan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pan wants it to stay on the feet.

Pan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Pinjata looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pan is fending him off so far but Pinjata persists. Nope, Pan circles away and we're back to standing.
Pan throws a series of punches but Pinjata avoids them all with ease.

Pan throws a head kick that misses.
Pinjata shoots in for a takedown but Pan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Pan moves into the clinch.
Pinjata tries for a takedown but Pan manages to get underhooks.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Pan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pinjata regains guard immediately.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pan stands and steps away. Pinjata gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Pinjata tries to keep at a distance but Pan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Pinjata is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pinjata to the mat. Pinjata regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Pinjata is trying to work for a sweep but Pan has mounted him!

Pinjata changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Pan bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pan has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pinjata clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Peter Pan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pinjata is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Pinjata drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Pan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pinjata prevents it.
Pinjata prevents the takedown attempt.
El Pinjata has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Pan.

Pan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pinjata scores with a couple of nice shots.

Pinjata throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pan's waist but Pan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pinjata off to one side.
Pinjata blocks a head kick by Pan.

Pan clinches up with Pinjata and pushes him back against the cage.
Come on Pan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Pan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Pinjata can't fight it off and eventually Pan manages to take the fight to the floor. Pinjata looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pan closes the distance and pushes Pinjata back into the cage.

Pan has picked Pinjata up - he's going for a ride! Pan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pinjata is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pan pulls his head out easily.

Pinjata looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Pan pushes past his half guard into mount!
Pinjata is trying desperately to improve position.

Pan stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Nice takedown defense from Pan. No joy for Pinjata on that attempt.
Pinjata fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Pan looks to land a body kick but Pinjata moved away.
Pan misses with a low kick.

Pan moves into the clinch.
Pinjata can't get the takedown.
Pan is pushing Pinjata up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Pan works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Pinjata has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Pan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pinjata.

Pan decides to stand back up. Pan steps back and let's Pinjata get back to his feet.

Peter Pan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Pinjata has his foot on Pan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pan works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Pan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
