Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Lucius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Miallener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Miallener is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucius lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Nick Miallener has been cut.
Lucius closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miallener circles away.
Miallener stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Miallener wants it to stay on the feet.

Lucius closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Miallener did well to prevent Lucius getting side control.

Miallener wants to control but Lucius is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Miallener makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Miallener.

Miallener lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miallener takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Miallener trying to control but Lucius is having none of it.

Miallener is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Lucius tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miallener paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Lucius counters with a head kick.
Miallener takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

and Miallener counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lucius's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Lucius. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lucius is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Miallener stands up from Lucius's guard - Miallener perhaps looking for a knockout.

Miallener drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lucius tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Miallener wants to control from the top but Lucius keeps moving.
Miallener throws a big right hand that misses.
Miallener slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miallener accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Miallener is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lucius wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Miallener manages to pass to side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lucius is looking to improve his position.
Miallener works his foot free and advances to mount.
Miallener controlling from the full mount.
Lucius on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lucius tries to get out of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miallener takes Lucius's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Lucius is in trouble.

Miallener swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Lucius counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lucius trying to control but Miallener is working from the bottom.
Lucius tries to stand but Miallener is controlling from the bottom.
Lucius is fighting to break Miallener's control of his arms but Miallener is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Miallener has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Miallener working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lucius doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lucius manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Miallener has a closed guard, preventing Lucius from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Miallener pushes down on Lucius's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Miallener thows a huge punch but Lucius dodges it nicely.
Lucius is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Miallener staying calm.
Lucius tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Miallener presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lucius reaches up to try and control the position but Miallener seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Lucius rolls and tries to escape and now Miallener has his back!

Lucius is covering up but some of the strikes from Miallener are getting through and doing damage.

Miallener is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Lucius with him. Lucius is trying to defend but Miallener has an arm under the chin now! Lucius grimaces and is forced to tap out!
