PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Blinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blinn comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Eye Of The Tiger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blinn steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hughes. That one must have hurt.
Hughes stuffs the takedown.
Hughes throws a body kick that misses.
Hughes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blinn swivels and escapes.
Hughes throws a head kick that misses.
Hughes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Hughes rushes Blinn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hughes connects with a knee to the head.

Hughes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hughes.

Hughes clinches with his opponent.
Hughes just leaning against Blinn, taking a breather.
Blinn has Hughes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hughes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Stalling in the clinch from Hughes.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hughes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Blinn fails with the takedown
and Hughes counters with a nice body kick.
Matt Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Logan Blinn.
Blinn looks gassed!
Blinn takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Logan Blinn has been cut.
Crunch! Hughes slams his shin into Blinn's torso.
Whack! Hughes lands a heavy head kick that drops Blinn. The ref tackles Hughes to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Blinn was done.
