The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjorksen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Alves.

Alves tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bjorksen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Alves is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alves slips a straight right by Bjorksen.

Alves tries to work over Bjorksen's front leg with a kick but Bjorksen checks it.
