Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Romario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Romario might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DMX - X gon Give it to ya. Hardy has chosen Tinie Tempah - Pass Out as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Romario!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romario shoots in for a double leg but Hardy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Romario misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Romario throws a solid leg kick but Hardy takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Romario.
Romario will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hardy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Romario kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Hardy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Romario with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Romario goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Dan Hardy has been cut.

and Hardy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Romario!

Romario will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Romario is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hardy is aware though and is defending well.
Romario is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Carlos Romario seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well Hardy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
