The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweeney looks to land a body kick but White moved away.
Sweeney looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
White lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sweeney circles away from the clinch attempt.
White tries to close the distance and clinch but Sweeney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
White shoots for a takedown but Sweeney saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sweeney scoring well with a low kick there.
A cross from Sweeney lands.
Sweeney throws the left hand but White avoids the punch easily.
White shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sweeney sprawls well. Sweeney wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. White gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Defoe White. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sweeney misses with a head kick.

White moves in looking to clinch but Sweeney pushes him off.
White looks to land a right hand but Sweeney moved out of range.

White works his way to full guard. Good work.
Sweeney would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sweeney won't allow White to sweep him here.
White has his feet on Sweeney's thighs here. He's pushed Sweeney off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Sweeney screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
