Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simo Leino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takuma Sakazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simo Leino looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Simo Leino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Takuma Sakazaki!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sakazaki closes the distance and pushes Leino back into the cage.

Sakazaki lands a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sakazaki is looking to work some ground and pound but Leino has wrist control.
Sakazaki thows a big elbow that misses.
Sakazaki is looking to stand up but Leino won't let him.
Sakazaki is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Leino throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Sakazaki wants to get up but he can't break Leino's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Leino wants to stand and escape but Sakazaki is having none of it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Sakazaki.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sakazaki has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Leino.
Sakazaki is trying to stick to Leino's back but Leino is turning into Sakazaki. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sakazaki's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Leino.

Leino would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Sakazaki is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Sakazaki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Leino gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Sakazaki tightens his grip and picks Leino up, before dumping him to the ground. Leino manages to land in guard.

Leino lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Leino.
Leino takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Sakazaki tries to clinch there but Leino circles away.

Sakazaki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sakazaki gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Leino regains guard.

Sakazaki is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Sakazaki gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Sakazaki gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Sakazaki apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Sakazaki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Leino's guard.

Sakazaki throws a head kick that half lands.
Simo Leino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sakazaki shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sakazaki was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Leino wants to control but Sakazaki is having none of it.

Leino bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Leino stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sakazaki swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sakazaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leino. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sakazaki has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Leino off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Sakazaki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Leino did well to prevent Sakazaki getting side control.

Leino won't allow Sakazaki to pass to mount.

Takuma Sakazaki is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sakazaki is looking to take a break and control but Leino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well Sakazaki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
