Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between alan peres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eder Neves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neves has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Eder Neves is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

peres looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Neves looks gassed!
Neves is trying to defend against the ground and pound but peres scores with a couple of nice shots.

It looks like Eder Neves has been cut.

peres decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
The fight stays on the outside here - peres looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

peres darts in and clinches Neves up against the cage.
peres unloads a knee to the mid-section.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from peres.

peres turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and peres manages to end up in side control.

peres has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

peres moves into range and clinches up with Neves.

peres gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Neves regains guard.
peres knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Neves on the ground.
peres is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
peres postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

peres has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
peres will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

peres decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Neves tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but peres wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Neves is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
peres scores with a couple of short elbows.
Neves is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
peres seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

peres has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Neves circles away from the clinch attempt.

peres drives through and clinches with Neves against the cage.
Neves is working for takedown but peres is calmly controlling the position for now.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
peres jumps guard but Neves stands there with peres around his waist. peres gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

peres turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

peres seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Neves for as long as he can get away with.

peres lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. peres connects with a nice short shot to Neves's temple.
