Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel LaRusso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Rivero!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaRusso connects with a nice looking jab.
LaRusso thuds his right hand into Rivero's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
LaRusso ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rivero moves away.
LaRusso lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Rivero closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rivero lands in his opponent's guard.
Rivero wants to get up but he can't break LaRusso's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
LaRusso on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if LaRusso tries to get out of the position.

Rivero decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
LaRusso scores with a shot to the body.
LaRusso throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
LaRusso looks to score with a jab to the body but Rivero is just out of range.
Rivero uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from LaRusso.
LaRusso lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rivero is trying hard to land a takedown here. LaRusso sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rivero tries to clinch up but LaRusso circles away and keeps his distance.
Rivero fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rivero tries to close the distance and clinch up but LaRusso swats him away and circles back towards the center.

LaRusso drops Rivero with a beautiful combination! Rivero stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - LaRusso is looking for the KO!


Rivero is rocked!
LaRusso lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
