Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tucker Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Juicy by Biggie Smalls. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bulldog's choice of entrance music: British Bulldog. Burbank Bulldog has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tucker Johnson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tucker Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burbank Bulldog!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bulldog but Bulldog pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Bulldog shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson tries to land a leg kick but Bulldog saw it coming and moves away.

Johnson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bulldog wants to get back to his feet.
Bulldog blocking the ground and pound attempt from Johnson.
Bulldog tries to kick Johnson off but Johnson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Johnson not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Bulldog looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Johnson wanted to stand there but Bulldog had control of the position.

Johnson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bulldog manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Bulldog in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bulldog's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Johnson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Johnson is looking to stand up but Bulldog isn't so interested in that idea.
Bulldog trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bulldog gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bulldog throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.
Bulldog checks the leg kick.

Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Bulldog has taken the fight into the clinch.
Johnson has Bulldog pressed against the cage, preventing Bulldog from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Bulldog pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Johnson throws a jab when Bulldog was well out of range.
Bulldog throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johnson is looking to clinch but Bulldog is avoiding it.
The fighters circling - Johnson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Bulldog shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson's guard.

Bulldog drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Johnson dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bulldog is on top in guard.

Bulldog gets to his feet - Johnson follows without any prompting.
Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Bulldog, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Bulldog clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage.

Bulldog closes the distance and clinches.
Bulldog wants to get back to striking at distance but Johnson won't allow it.

Bulldog manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Johnson throws and elbow that misses. Bulldog uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Bulldog!
Johnson wants to sweep here but Bulldog controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bulldog bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Johnson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bulldog has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Bulldog is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Johnson dodges the ground and pound from Bulldog.
Johnson is not content to let Bulldog control the position.

Bulldog goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Johnson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bulldog but great work by Johnson.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The ground and pound from Johnson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Bulldog explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Bulldog has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Johnson finds it's way round the side to connect with Bulldog's head.
Tucker Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bulldog is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Johnson trying to control but Bulldog is working from the bottom.
Bulldog looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there.
Johnson tries to stand but Bulldog is controlling from the bottom.

Burbank Bulldog showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Johnson tries to advance to mount but Bulldog denies him.

Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bulldog on the ground.

Bulldog looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well.

Bulldog keeps the fight on the outside.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bulldog. That's going to slow Johnson down.

Bulldog lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Johnson leaves Bulldog with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bulldog moves out of range as Johnson strikes.

Bulldog fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Burbank Bulldog is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Bulldog clinches.
Johnson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Bulldog successfully pulls guard.
Johnson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bulldog has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Bulldog's legs - danger averted.

Johnson gets to his feet - Bulldog follows without any prompting.
Bulldog slips a jab from Johnson.

Bulldog darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bulldog is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bulldog is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bulldog prevents Johnson from standing back up.
Johnson is looking to improve his position.
Bulldog working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnson is looking to escape.

Bulldog is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Johnson has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bulldog wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.
Johnson is trying is best to control the position here.

Bulldog decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bulldog tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Johnson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

And that's the end of the fight!
Burbank Bulldog comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bulldog has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
