Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ludwig Longhorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Paint It Black By The Rolling Stones. Tommy Knox will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ludwig Longhorn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Knox!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox throws a lazy right hand but Longhorn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Knox throws a nice looking combination but Longhorn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Good standup being displayed there by Knox as he connects with a hook.

Longhorn shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Longhorn wants to pass to mount but Knox is defending the position.
Longhorn is keen to just control but Knox is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Longhorn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Knox defends it well.
Knox is trying to maintain the position but Longhorn is very close to passing his half guard.

Knox looks like he's trying to stand up.
Longhorn is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Knox reverses the position - he's now on top in Longhorn's guard.

Knox got a little sloppy there for a moment and Longhorn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Knox has managed to get both his arms back between Longhorn's legs - danger averted.
Knox wants to control from the top but Longhorn keeps moving.

Longhorn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Knox can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Knox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Longhorn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Longhorn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Knox wanted to stand there but Longhorn had control of the position.

Knox must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Knox is working Longhorn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Longhorn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Knox gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Longhorn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Longhorn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Longhorn drops back, looking for a kneebar! Knox looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Knox looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Knox!

Well Knox has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
