The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saulnier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ketchum avoids it really well and circles away.
Ketchum bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Saulnier fails with the takedown.
Saulnier looks to land a left hand but Ketchum moved out of range nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saulnier works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ketchum ducks under a wild hook from Saulnier.
No joy there for Ketchum, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A punch lands to the side of Saulnier 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ash Ketchum is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ketchum lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Saulnier circles away quickly and effectively.
Saulnier looks to land a right hand but Ketchum moved out of range.
Saulnier throws the left hand but Ketchum avoids the punch easily.
Ketchum blocks a head kick by Saulnier.
Ketchum scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Saulnier works the jab nicely.
Tupac Saulnier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saulnier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ketchum but Ketchum pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tupac Saulnier. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Saulnier shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ketchum's guard.

Ketchum wants to get back to his feet but Saulnier is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ketchum wants to sweep but no luck.
Saulnier postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Ketchum looking to hit a scissor sweep but Saulnier is one step ahead there.

Ketchum working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Saulnier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ketchum is tightening it up a little... Saulnier has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Saulnier reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Saulnier taps out! nice BJJ there by Ketchum!
