Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapointe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Don't Drink The Water. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Max throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lapointe sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Lapointe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Max is refusing to be controlled, as Lapointe sits in half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Scott Max just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lapointe shoots in looking for a takedown. Max tries to sprawl out of it but Lapointe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Max manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Max keeps the fight on the outside.
Max misses with a wild combination.
Max looks for the body kick but Lapointe saw that one coming.
Max throws an overhand right that lands on Lapointe's shoulder, as Lapointe tries to avoid the shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Scott Max will probably get the nod.

Lapointe slips a nice elbow through Max's hands, connecting with Max's forehead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Lapointe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lapointe shoots in for a takedown but Max shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Lapointe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Max is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Max's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lapointe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Max keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lapointe is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lapointe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Max tries to avoid it but Lapointe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Max to the ground. Max escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Scott Max is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Max lands with a nice combination. Lapointe backs away looking to recover.

Scott Max comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Max winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
