Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Pattison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vito Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Pattison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pattison closes the distance and pushes Smith back into the cage.
Pattison prevents a takedown attempt there.
Smith is looking to control Pattison's arms but Pattison gets an underhook and turns him. Now Smith has his back to the cage.

Pattison's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pattison seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Smith for as long as he can get away with.
