Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thallo Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rich Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily.
Johnson avoids the head kick by Green.
Johnson throws a body punch but Green moves out of range.
Green keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Johnson scores with a takedown into Green's guard.
Johnson wanted to stand there but Green had control of the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Green stops Johnson from standing up.

Green seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Johnson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnson.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.

Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Johnson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Green is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.

Johnson wants to stand but Green is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Green throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Green's waist but Green gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches.
Green can't break the clinch.
Johnson lands an elbow inside.

Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Johnson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Johnson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Green pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Green takes an elbow to the forehead.
Johnson has Green pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Green manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Thallo Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rich Johnson.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oh Green is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Johnson throws an overhand right that drops Green like a sack of potatoes! Johnson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
