Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Krinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mwai Kibaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Mwai Kibaki enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Krinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mwai Kibaki!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krinn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kibaki throws out the jab.
Kibaki throws a shot from downtown. Krinn moves away and avoids it.
Kibaki avoids the body shot from Krinn.
Krinn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kibaki's waist but Kibaki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Krinn off to one side.
Krinn dodges the punch combination from Kibaki.
Krinn ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kibaki scores with a sloppy right hand. Krinn should have avoided that one.


It looks like David Krinn has been cut.
Kibaki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Krinn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kibaki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Krinn blocks a jab.
Kibaki misses with a wild combination.
Krinn connects with a body shot.
Kibaki misses with a two punch combination.
Kibaki lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Krinn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kibaki moves away.
Krinn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kibaki swivels and escapes.
Krinn misses the shot to the body.
Krinn looks to land a combination but Kibaki avoids it well.
Kibaki throws an overhand right that lands on Krinn's shoulder, as Krinn tries to avoid the shot.
Krinn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kibaki.
Kibaki scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kibaki takes a swing at Krinn's ribcage but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kibaki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Krinn circles away quickly and effectively.
Krinn is looking to wear down Kibaki with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Kibaki looks gassed!

Krinn takes the fight into the clinch.
Stalling in the clinch from Krinn.
Krinn is trying to break the clinch but Kibaki has him pressed against the cage.
Kibaki tries to pull guard but Krinn holds him up against the cage and eventually Kibaki drops back down to his feet.
Kibaki jumps guard but Krinn stands there with Kibaki around his waist. Kibaki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Krinn is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Krinn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Krinn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Kibaki stays in close to Krinn's body and controls the position.
Kibaki wanted to stand there but Krinn had control of the position.
Krinn is trying to control the position but Kibaki postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kibaki stands up from Krinn's guard - Kibaki perhaps looking for a knockout.
Krinn on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Kibaki keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Krinn misses the shot to the body.
Kibaki tries to bum rush Krinn with a series of wild strikes but Krinn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kibaki lands with a right hand.


David Krinn's cut is getting worse.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Kibaki knocks Krinn out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mwai Kibaki!
