Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Arelliuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshall's entrance music is Testify by Rage Against the Machine. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Marcus Arelliuo enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Arelliuo blocks a head kick by Marshall.
Arelliuo closes the distance and clinches up with Marshall, looking for a takedown. Arelliuo pushes Marshall against the cage but Marshall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Marshall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Arelliuo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Marshall avoids it really well and circles away.
Doug Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Arelliuo.
Arelliuo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marshall pinned against the cage. Marshall gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marshall lands a big head kick that sends Arelliuo tumbling to the mat! Marshall takes a step backwards and waves Arelliuo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Arelliuo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Marshall to the mat! Marshall manages to get full guard.
Arelliuo looks gassed!
Marshall is looking to stand up but Arelliuo isn't so interested in that idea.

Marshall is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Arelliuo tries to work over Marshall's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Marshall lands with a kick to the temple. Arelliuo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Marshall feints and then cracks Arelliuo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Arelliuo down.
Marshall lets loose with a powerful body kick. Arelliuo will feel that in the morning.
Marshall scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Marshall.
Marshall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marshall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Arelliuo.
Marshall throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That has opened up Marcus Arelliuo's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Marshall! Arelliuo is out on his feet! Marshall rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Arelliuo is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Arelliuo is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
