Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Viera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzalez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Entre Dos Aguas kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Viera throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gonzalez escapes and throws Viera's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Gonzalez takes a little break here. Viera wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gonzalez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Viera knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Viera has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gonzalez is working away from the top position though.
Viera flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Viera is looking to control Gonzalez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Viera avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gonzalez throws a series of punches but Viera moves out of range.
Juan Gonzalez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Viera tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gonzalez counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

And that's the end of the fight!
Juan Gonzalez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gonzalez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
