Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelvin Shum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's entrance music is Lil Wayne- I'm Me. A fine choice. Shum comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Oficina G3 - Depois da Guerra kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kelvin Shum!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shum darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Shum with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Silva is trying to control but can't.
Well, if Shum is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Shum seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Shum looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Shum content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Shum is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Silva will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Shum is controlling him well.

Kelvin Shum showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Shum feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Well Shum has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
