Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonny Kingston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Wilson!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Wilson scores a takedown into full mount!
Wilson avoids the attempt from Kingston to control.
Kingston is squirming around, avoiding Wilson's attempts to control the action.

Wilson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kingston has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kingston!

Kingston throws a strike but Wilson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kingston has his foot on Wilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though.

Wilson gets to his feet. Kingston looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Wilson keeps the fight on the outside.
Kingston shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Wilson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wilson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kingston pinned against the cage. Kingston gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kingston tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kingston moves in looking to clinch but Wilson pushes him off.
Kingston lands a high kick!


It looks like John Wilson has been cut.

Wilson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kingston as he avoids it easily.

Wilson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kingston is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kingston has escaped and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kingston throws a big right hand that misses.

Kingston drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kingston jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kingston cracks Wilson with a solid left hand.
Kingston trying to control but Wilson is working from the bottom.
Kingston thows a big elbow that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonny Kingston will probably get the nod.

Kingston tries to clinch up.
Wilson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kingston tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wilson shoots in looking for a takedown. Kingston tries to sprawl out of it but Wilson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kingston manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jonny Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kingston throws a head kick but Wilson moves out of range.

and Wilson counters with a nice body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilson looks to score with a jab to the body but Kingston is just out of range.

Kingston throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wilson was covering up waiting for the punch and Kingston finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kingston drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wilson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wilson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wilson!
Kingston wants to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kingston looking for a sweep but Wilson has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Kingston really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Wilson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kingston is now in Wilson's guard. A big mistake from Wilson there, giving up the dominant position!
Kingston wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving.

Kingston postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wilson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kingston, into his guard.
Wilson stays in close to Kingston's body and controls the position.

Wilson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kingston dives on top into guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kingston trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wilson's guard.

Wilson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kingston is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kingston is trying to control Wilson's posture but Wilson avoids it.
John Wilson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wilson trying to control the position but Kingston is working away.
Kingston wants to control but Wilson postures up.

Kingston tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kingston is trying to buck Wilson off.
Kingston is not content to let Wilson control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Kingston as Wilson shoots in.

John Wilson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kingston has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
