The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandoval fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drazen manages to avoid it.
Sandoval throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Drazen shoots in looking for a takedown. Sandoval tries to sprawl out of it but Drazen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sandoval manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Drazen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sandoval, pushing him back against the cage.

Drazen tries to bum rush Sandoval with a series of wild strikes but Sandoval uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sandoval lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

and Drazen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Julio Sandoval seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sandoval lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sandoval.
Julio Sandoval is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Drazen jabs Sandoval right on the nose. Sandoval blinks but takes it well.

Drazen lands a big head kick that sends Sandoval to the canvas! Drazen follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
