Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jakob Van Tripp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mo Fool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jakob Van Tripp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mo Fool!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fool lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tripp circles away quickly and effectively.

Tripp throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fool was covering up waiting for the punch and Tripp finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fool looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tripp is one step ahead there.

Fool has his foot on Tripp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tripp works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Tripp trying to control but Fool is working from the bottom.
Tripp connects with a couple of short punches.
Fool trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Fool working for a triangle but Tripp defends it easily.
Fool avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Tripp throws a big right hand that misses.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tripp fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fool dips to his left and cracks Tripp with an uppercut!

It looks like Jakob Van Tripp has been cut.
Tripp connects with a crisp jab.
Tripp has a takedown stuffed.
Fool tries a head kick but it misses.
Fool dives in and grabs Tripp's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tripp pushes down on Fool's head and hops out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tripp.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jakob Van Tripp. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tripp fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tripp showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fool.
A combination from Fool does no damage.
Tripp doesn't manage to clinch there - Fool circles away.

and Fool counters with a three punch combo that has Tripp backing up. Tripp nods at Fool to acknowledge the strikes.
Fool looks gassed!
Tripp on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Tripp shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fool pinned against the cage. Fool gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fool has Tripp up against the cage in a clinch.

Fool drags the fight down to the ground.
Tripp controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Tripp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fool has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tripp should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Fool has tightened it up now! Tripp should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
