Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chollo Henriques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Aronyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henriques's entrance music is Pegasus Fantasy (Brasil). A fine choice. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chollo Henriques!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aronyan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Henriques bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Aronyan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Henriques wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
An elbow from Henriques crashes against the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aronyan is trying to get back to half guard.
Henriques has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Henriques working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Aronyan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Henriques's best efforts.
Aronyan wants to control but Henriques is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Aronyan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Henriques pulls his head out easily.

Henriques is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aronyan is just riding it out for now. Henriques eventually gives up the hold.

Henriques looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Henriques is keen to just control but Aronyan is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Henriques throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Aronyan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Henriques fails to land the takedown.
Aronyan doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Henriques counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Aronyan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Henriques is one step ahead there.
Henriques stands and throws Aronyan's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Henriques tries for a kimura but Aronyan is defending well.

Sloppy strikes there by Henriques.
Henriques is looking to take a break and control but Aronyan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Aronyan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Henriques's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aronyan regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Henriques.
Aronyan is trying to control the position but Henriques postures up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Henriques got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aronyan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Henriques has managed to get both his arms back between Aronyan's legs - danger averted.

Henriques gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Aronyan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Henriques trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Henriques sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Aronyan's guard.

Henriques is trying to work for a kimura but Aronyan is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chollo Henriques dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Henriques fails in his attempt to clinch.

Aronyan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Aronyan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Henriques dives on top into guard.

Henriques drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aronyan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Henriques has Aronyan in his guard.
Aronyan wants to control from the top but Henriques keeps moving.

Aronyan throws a big right hand that misses.

Henriques wants to get back to his feet.

Aronyan is working to tighten is grip on Henriques's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Henriques has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Aronyan is really squeezing tight and eventually Henriques passes out! Aronyan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
