PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pen Kli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Krueger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krueger has chosen Goblin - Deep Red as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krueger avoids the body shot from Kli.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kli looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Krueger closes the distance and clinches.

Krueger gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kli regains guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Krueger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kli has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Krueger has managed to get both his arms back between Kli's legs - danger averted.

Kli wants to stand and escape but Krueger is having none of it.
Krueger controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Krueger drops back looking for a leg! Kli is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kli manages to kick Krueger off! Krueger jumps back into Kli's guard.

Kli has momentary wrist control but Krueger slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krueger stays in close to Kli's body and controls the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Freddy Krueger just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Krueger has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kli is trying to keep an underhook but Krueger manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Krueger works his way into side control.

Krueger has hold of Kli's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kli tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Krueger cranks the arm and Kli screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kli, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
