The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stinson as he jumps to the side.

Stinson gets caught flat footed, as Gracie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gracie controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but Stinson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie uses his free foot to push down on Stinson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Stinson.

Gracie has hold of Stinson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Stinson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gracie throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Stinson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Stinson doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.

Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stinson's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Stinson's temple.
