The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanfield shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says The GridIron as he avoids it easily.

The GridIron has closed the distance and engaged Stanfield in a clinch.

The GridIron gets control of Stanfield's arms and successfully pulls guard. The GridIron will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The GridIron escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stanfield gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stanfield pushes down on The GridIron's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Stanfield is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so The GridIron is just riding it out for now. Stanfield eventually gives up the hold.
The GridIron is looking to control Stanfield's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can The GridIron avoid being mounted?

The GridIron tries to hold on but Stanfield postures up.

Stanfield has control of The GridIron's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and The GridIron regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Stanfield throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! The GridIron has his hands clasped together but Stanfield breaks the hold and The GridIron is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Stanfield!
