The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
rodrigo throws an overhand right that lands on Rosario's shoulder, as Rosario tries to avoid the shot.

rodrigo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. rodrigo showed some decent athleticism there.
rodrigo is keen to just control but Rosario is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
rodrigo stops Rosario from getting back to his feet.

rodrigo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

rodrigo is looking for a kimura but Rosario is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for rodrigo to get the leverage.

rodrigo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Rosario knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for rodrigo on the ground.
rodrigo is looking to advance position but Rosario won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
